Partners join forces for Blythe Bridge station

27th July 2015

Blythe Bridge station is looking First Class thanks to a busy community gardening day.

North Staffordshire CRP and station volunteers were given a huge helping hand by the East Midlands Trains Marketing Team, staff from Derby Station, rallied by Area Stations Manager Jason Cocker, and former Forsbrook Parish Council colleagues Gill Burton and Christine Snape.

The 16-strong team gave the extensive station gardens a major trim and tidy, guaranteeing an especially smart and welcoming station for passengers throughout the summer.

Gill and Christine, former Chair and Clerk of Forsbrook Parish Council were delighted to join in the work to celebrate how greatly Blythe Bridge station has improved since the Parish Council adopted it in 2007. The Parish Council sponsors the many seasonal planters that help to embellish the station.
