Station Adopters’ Get Together

On Thursday 14th December 2017, the NSCRP held a ‘get together’ for their station volunteers.

40 of our volunteers joined Mike Willmot (Chairman of NSCRP), Brian Edwards (Team Manager, Safe & Sustainable Transport at Stoke City Council), Donna Adams (Stakeholder and Community Rail Manager at East Midlands Trains) and Marika Latham (CRPO) for a buffet at the Civic Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, to thank them for all their efforts in keeping the environment at all our stations bright and cheerful.
It so happened that 2 of our adopters, Ann Taylor (Longton) and Mick Eyre (Uttoxeter) celebrated their birthdays on the same day and to mark the occasion the NSCRP provided a cake!

At the end of the event, as a further gesture of appreciation for all their hard work, each adopter was presented with a ‘goody bag’ filled with items donated by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, East Midlands Trains, Tesco at Kidsgrove, Longton and Meir Park and ACoRP.
And finally, a huge ‘thank you’ to ACoRP, who sponsored the event from their Small Grant Fund.
