Uttoxeter Station Project

Uttoxeter station is in the Staffordshire County Council local authority area. Annual footfall is 148,370 (based on Office of Rail and Road station usage 2013/14)

Thanks to great support from Staffordshire County Council, East Midlands Trains, station volunteers and the local community, we have been able to deliver a number of improvement projects for passengers using Uttoxeter station, including:

  • Closed circuit TV (CCTV)
  • Customer Information Screens (CIS) with public address
  • 120’ ‘Welcome to Uttoxeter’ permanent station mural, created using ideas from station volunteers and sponsored by local businesses and organisations
  • Encouragement of station adoption by local residents; a team of station volunteers now plant and maintain the station garden beds, providing seasonal colour, herbs and strawberries for passengers to enjoy

Find out more about how station volunteers and the local community now, through our work, support Uttoxeter and other stations on the North Staffordshire Line
