Runner Up, Best Station Adoption Group (2012)

Long serving Alsager volunteer Trevor Cotton was also awarded Citizen of the Year by Alsager Rotary in 2015

The Alsager station ‘Welcome’ mural project was unveiled in 2012 to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. The initial idea for the project and design of the content and all the images used by the artist were researched and provided by the Alsager volunteers.

They are also responsible for the lovely station gardens, which extend the full extent of each of the 2 platforms that are packed full of colour and also include a wildlife garden, herbs and fruits for passengers to pick and enjoy.
