Join Duck Bills for a great railway adventure!

Enjoy a fun family story trail through Stoke with Duck Bills as you help him to find out more about the history of Stoke and its railway.

Follow the story trail map from Stoke Library to Stoke-in-Trent Train Station discovering lot of interesting facts along the way. Copies of the story trail can be collected from any Stoke-on Trent library, Stoke-on-Trent Railway Station or download a copy here.

Duck Bills’ Stoke Story Trail

Once you’ve completed the story trail you can write a letter to Duck Bills’ younger sibling, Duck Small, to tell them all about your discoveries to be entered into a prize draw to win a Family and Friends Railcard, giving discounted travel across the rail network, and a fantastic bundle of books! To send your letter to Duck Small either post it in the freepost envelope (available with a copy of the trail from Stoke-on-Trent libraries), hand it in at a Stoke-on-Trent library or send a photo of it to Stoke Reads’ Facebook page. Just search ‘Stoke Reads’.

Send your letter in by Friday 6th May 2022 for a chance to win.

You can also join us for the story trail launch event on Tuesday 12th April, 10am – 2pm, at Stoke Library where you can take part in a drawing workshop with the story trail author and illustrator, Kidda Kinsey, listen to tales of railway adventures with storyteller, Alan Barrett and enjoy craft activities. Make a day of it with fun activities and complete the story trail with your family and friends.
