Tutbury & Hatton Volunteers

The great community spirit in these villages is reflected in the small team of volunteers who help keep this station looking good. Even in the absence of any garden areas, the team have managed to transform the look of the station.

Thanks to their support we have been able to install 9 large hayrack baskets, which the volunteers plant with summer and autumn bedding, providing lovely displays of colour for passengers to enjoy all year round.

The volunteers work closely with East Staffordshire Greenhouse, managed by the inspirational Paul Steed, whose volunteers grow all the plants from seed for the station displays.

Nestle Tutbury has recently donated purpose-built planters for the station to help the volunteers extend their planting, creating a “charming little station, with eye-catching floral displays for passengers” (RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood project)
