New bottle ovens

New bottle ovens

Dec 2022

Following a request from the Longton Station Adopters, NSCRP commissioned a local social enterprise called The Stoke 2000 to build six bottle oven frames for a wall on Platform 1. Built from that ever-useful resource, pallet wood, they are the ultimate in recycling! We roped in a group from the North Staffs YMCA to help the station volunteers with the painting. They are very bright and certainly add colour to the station!
