New Mural on Platform 1

New Mural on Platform 1

Nov 2022

The large mural at Uttoxeter Station had been flaking away for several years so it was replaced in 2022 by two new murals.  The first depicts residents’ favourite places in the town as contributed by the Your Uttoxeter public consultation.  This artwork was created by artist, Maisie Baker, who grew up in Uttoxeter.  The second mural shows some of the visitor attractions close to stations along the Crewe-Stoke-Derby Line.  This was created by Stoke-on-Trent artists, We are Culla.  The wall is now bright and colourful and full of engaging detail.

Many thanks to our funders: East Midlands Railway, CrossCountry Trains, Uttoxeter Town Council, Friends of Uttoxeter Station, Community Rail Network and Uttoxeter Race Course.
