Volunteers from Thales, Network Rail and Longport Station generously gave their time to nature when they built and installed 16 bird boxes at woodland adjacent to Longport Station recently. Staffordshire Wildlife Trust provided kits and instructions for assembly, which was harder than it looked! How difficult can it be to bang in a nail straight? They also did some litter picking around the site before sampling (some for the first time) a very well deserved Staffordshire Oatcake.
