Last year EMR installed new ticket machines at all of our Crewe to Derby stations, allowing customers to buy and collect tickets at their local station. At Longton we took the opportunity to ask for an additional live information screen to be installed with the ticket machine. This allows customers to see when the trains are due in real time without having to climb the steps up to the platforms. 50% of the project costs were funded by an EMR Community Grant.
