This Spring we were delighted to work again with sixth formers from St Martin’s Academy in Derby on our Peartree Wildlife Project. We arranged for them to construct bird boxes at one of the Museum of Making’s brilliant workshops, supported by expert technician, Steve Smith. Two weeks later the group took their bird boxes to the station to be attached to trees with the help of our Derbyshire Wildlife Trust team. They also created an enormous bug hotel using pallets. Project funded by EMR.
