Salt Brook Heritage Trail

An image of the pit wheel - a metal wheel sculpture on the Salt Brook Heritage Trail

Salt Brook Heritage Trail is a 6-minute walk from Tutbury & Hatton station.

The Salt Brook Heritage Trail features works of art that celebrate the community and industrial history of Hatton. The trail is about a mile long (total there and back). There are information boards along the way and it ends with four sculptures: a steel wheel, a bronze gob of glass, a stone farmer and a silo. These were inspired by the global industries that started in the small rural village. Times stated are to the beginning of the trail which is at the bridle path at the end of Church Avenue.
