NSCRP promotes the importance of local railways in improving mobility and sustainable travel, community cohesion and wellbeing, and social and economic development.
Join us at Stone Railway Station for a free guided walk of the beautiful historic town of Stone. This will be a leisurely, accessible walk avoiding the canal towpath and railway bridge and will take approximately one and a quarter hours.
Although the walk is free to attend places are limited and tickets should be booked in advance. Book your place on EventBrite.
For a walk that includes the canal towpath and railway bridge please see our 12pm walk here.
A Community Open Day is being held in the Station Building on the day of the Trail, from 10am to 1pm. Please do drop in and join us for free refreshments between 10am and 12pm provided by Futures2Gether, hands-on activities with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, poetry readings from pupils at St Dominic’s Priory School and defibrillator demonstrations with AEDdonate. There will also be information on the projects delivered and an opportunity for you to get involved by voting for your favourite planting design!
If you have an idea for a railway-themed event of any sort do get in touch. We are always happy to consider joint projects and can access funding to support them.
